Cabin decor. This is such a change from our home in Florida. Woodsy, rustic, rich colors, cozy feel, let me know I'm somewhere else. Changes my whole attitude. Moose and dear, and bears...oh my!
Doggies, I don't think we're in Florida anymore!

Old Wood Pallet into Frame
Turn an ugly old wood pallet into a rustic picture frame. Pull off four slats, miter cut the corners and attach. Use leftover wall paint and it will match your room perfectly. This sunflower oil was a birthday gift from my mother, and we brought it up to North Carolina and built the frame here. I'm thinking of doing a mirror next.

Black Bear Tile Coasters
Make your own coasters. Trace an outline of a black bear on a leftover piece of tumbled stone tile. Fill in with black paint pen. Cut a piece of cork contact paper for the back. Here's my set on the wine bar.

Conley Creek
Welcome Back...This is the little bridge we cross over as we enter into Smoky Mountain Country Club.
That's where our little "cabbage" lives. It is really a condo/townhouse, but we've made it our own mountain getaway in NC.

Wine Cork Mirror Frame
Save you wine corks and when you have enough, you can glue them to a piece of plywood and add a mirror. Trim the edges with molding. Stain or paint the way you want. Now you have a customized mirror for above your wine bar. Don't forget to write the dates on the corks from special occasions; weddings, anniversaries, cruises, and you'll have a great keepsake as well. Larry and I made this while here at the "cabbage" in North Carolina.
